RE: Mount Tamalpais State Park Coastal Trails Rehabilitation Project
Dear Park Enthusiasts,
This letter is to inform you that a Mitigated Negative Declaration has been filed today for the Mount Tamalpais State Park Coastal Trails Rehabilitation Project. This document allows the public to review and comment on the proposed project, as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The document will have a 30 day public review period. A Notice of Determination will be filed a few weeks following the close of this period. Copies of the negative declaration are available for review at the Marin County Public Library, Marin County Clerk’s Office, the State Clearinghouse and the Marin District Office of California State Parks.
For those of you that were able to attend the public meeting on November 4th, you are aware that there was discussion about the proposed width of the new trails. The Negative Declaration states that the trail will be a minimum of 48 inches. The trail may be built wider than this minimum, however. A final decision has not been made.
Thank you for your time and continued interest in the project! Please don’t hesitate to contact us (415) 893-1580 if you would like additional information.
Sincerely,
Original Signed by
